Po Leung Kuk formally embarked on its Positive Education Journey in its kindergartens in 2018, following a commitment to better support children's well-being and bolster resilience. Po Leung Kuk adopted the Positive Education model of Geelong Grammar School, a pioneer of Positive Education in Australia, across its kindergartens. Teachers, non-teaching staff, and parents receive training (Learn it); Teachers trial Positive Education in their daily teachings (Teach it); Make good use of Positive Education in daily life (Live it); Immerse the conceptual framework in the curriculum (Embed it). The kindergarten selected six focused areas, namely: growth mindset, character strengths, positive emotions, positive health, positive relationships, and positive purpose. The kindergarten coalesces these elements into its school-based Positive Education program. Po Leung Kuk intends to support teachers, non-teaching staff, students and parents to embrace Positive Education in ways that enable them to flourish and enrich their lives. Our vision is that through immersing Positive Education in the school-based curriculum, positive values can be a compass that gives students direction towards their purpose in life. That journey starts with the student, the school community, family and ultimately reaches the wider community.
