Po Leung Kuk Li Tsui Chung Sing Memorial Kindergarten

Information on Admission to K1 Classes

in the 2024/25 School Year


Online Admission:

Po Leung Kuk affiliated kindergartens introduced an online admission system. Parents are able to apply to the kindergarten for their children who were born in or before 2021 via internet (https://application.plkkgs.edu.hk/en) form August. Parents can complete the application form and handle the payment online. Please browse the school website for the latest news and you may contact the school for further information.

Interviews invitation will be sent by the school via Email on or before 31st October 2021. Please contact the school directly if the email cannot be received by 1st November 2021.


Collection of Application Forms (Distributes whole year and No quota):

a.) Obtain from school in person

b.) Download from school website 


Submit of Application Forms (No set quota for the kindergarten):

Date: 11th September 2023 to 31st October 2023

Time: 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. (Monday to Friday) / 9:00a.m. to 12:00n.n. (Saturday) 

Submit the application form in person and bring along the documents listed below :

- The original and the copy of applicant’s identity document

- A recent photo of applicant

- 4 reply envelopes with the correspondence address and $2.2 postage stamp on each. Please make sure the applicant’s name has been marked at the cover of the envelopes. (Size of envelopes approximately 23cm x 10cm)

- Application fee: $40 (to be collected together with the application form). The application fee is non-returnable whether the application is successful or not.


Application for the “2024/25 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission”

1.The Education Bureau(EDB) implemented the Free Quality Kindergarten Education policy starting form the 2017/18 school year to replace the "Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme". Under the new Scheme, EDB  will use the“Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” as the document for K1 registration in the 2024/25 school year.

2.Parents are required to submit an application for the “2024/25 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred as “2024/25 RC”) to EDB from September to November. The EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto the EDB’s website in due course.  


Admission Criteria:

1.Interview performance. 

2.The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying in the kindergarten will be due a priority consideration. 

3.The applicant from families in need will be given priority consideration when applying for whole day (As the number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.) 


Interview Arrangements :

1.The kindergarten will arrange interview for all applicants. 

2. Interviews will be conducted on 4th November 2023 and notification will be sent by email or by post (for applicants who cannot provide the email). 

3.Group and/or individual interviews will be arranged. 

4.One guardian is allowed to accompany the child for the interview. 

5. Please bring along the documents listed below on the interview day (for the applicants of the online admission system) 

  • Print out the online application form
  • The original and the copy of applicant’s identity document
  • Original copy of the Bank Slip(if the application fee is paid via online admission system or by ATM/by counter)

6. Arrangement for admission application of Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Children:

  • When interviewing NCS children, interpretation and/or translation service for applicants will be provided where necessary, or parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/ friend to facilitate communication. Announcement of Admission Results :

Interview results will be announced on the board (the front door of our school) at 2nd December 2023. We will inform parents of the K1 admission results by email or by post.


Registration Arrangements:

  1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child from 4th to 6th January 2024 (“Centralized Registration Dates”) by submitting the original copy of the “2024/25 RC” to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.
  2. Applicants on the waiting list: If we still have any vacancy after registration, we will contact parents by phone. Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original copy of the “2024/25 RC” to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
  3.  Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “2024/25 RC” during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit their application for the Registration Certificate to EDB within the specified period.
  4. The registration fee for 2024/25 K1 is HK$970(half-day) / HK$1,570(whole-day). If parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “2024/25 RC” but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “2024/25 RC”, the kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.
