Support for Non-Chinese Speaking Students
Under the “Kindergarten Education Scheme – Enhanced Support for Non-Chinese Speaking Students(NCS)”. We recruited an additional NCS teaching assistant in the 2019-2020 school year, to assist our NCS students in integrating into school life and their multi-disciplinary development.
- We translate school circulars for parents of NCS which allow them to understand more about our school policy and administrative arrangements.
- We modify the curriculum according to the ability of our NCS students. We also keep close contact with parents of NCS students in reporting their learning performance.
- We purchased a variety of Chinese teaching resources for our NCS students, such as flashcards, Chinese radical picture cards, and sandpaper cards to assist them in learning Chinese.
- To support non-Chinese speaking students’ learning journey, our school launch regular Chinese Fun Class for Non-Chinese-Speaking Students to support their learning journey. The program aims to build confidence in everyday communication through engaging activities in a supportive environment. Each student will receive personalized guidance to strengthen their language skills in small learning group.
