NoticeEnhance children's creativityand aesthetic ability

29/11/2021

In August 2021, the school campus was beautified with the artwork of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. The composition is mainly in red, blue, yellow and white, making the school environment full of artistic atmosphere and helping to enhance children's creativity and aesthetic ability.

At the same time, we arranged for visual arts instructors to visit the school for some time to conduct visual arts activities with the aim of enhancing the children’s aesthetic and creative abilities. Through the use of “visual language” learning, children can experience the ideas and emotions that artists from different periods and cultures want to convey, and these forms of learning aim to enhance children’s visual experience so that they can learn to express themselves clearly and deeply and shape their personal feelings. In addition, using an artist’s work to interpret it from different angles, in terms of colour, space, texture or virtual and real forms, each visual element and organisational principle is learnt so that students can pay more attention to the things around them, not to ignore the stones on the roadside or the patterns of shells, and to learn to appreciate the rules and changes of nature through “appreciation”. Through appreciating artworks, students learn to understand how artists use these rules to “create”. In this way, students will unwittingly learn to use “visual language” to speak in their works.
