Participating in the “eFun Learning English Platform for Young Children” project – Dr CHU Ka Wah, Samuel of The University of Hong Kong’s Department of Information and Technology Education liaised with PLK Education Affairs Department. The project is conducted from September to December 2021 for K3 students. Objectives of the project: To help children develop good reading habits and provide teachers with teaching support. It is proposed to develop and design an English e-learning platform with pre-designed software and hardware for early childhood English learning. The system is equipped with an AI function that collects and analyses algorithmic data when children are reading so that teachers can know the intensity of students’ concentration and emotional performance during learning and further assess the level of students’ interest and ability in reading.
