Information on Admission to K1 Classes in the 2024/25 School Year
Online Admission
Po Leung Kuk affiliated kindergartens introduced an online admission system since late September, 2016. Parents are able to apply to the kindergarten for their children who were born in or before 2021 via internet (
https://application.plkkgs.edu.hk/?lan=english) from September. Please browse the school website for the latest news and you may contact the school for further information.
Please complete the application form and handle the payment online. For details, please refer to the school website. Interviews invitation will be sent by the school via Email on or before 31st October 2023 Please contact the school directly if the email cannot be received by 1st November 2023.

Return of Application Forms (No set quota for the kindergarten)

3. Return method: Submit the application form in person / by post [together with the documents required (including copy of identity document, copy of Immunization record, stamped self-addressed envelope)]
4. Application fee (if applicable): HK$40 (to be collected together with the application form). The application fee is non-returnable whether the application is successful or not.
Application for the “2023/24 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission”
1. The Education Bureau (EDB) implemented the Free Quality Kindergarten Education policy starting from the 2017/18 school year to replace the “Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme”. Under the new Scheme, EDB will use the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” as the document for K1 registration in the 2024/25 school year.
2. Parents are required to submit an application for the “2024/25 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred as “2024/25 RC”) to EDB from September to November 2023. The “2024/25 RC” will be open for applications in September 2023 and the EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto the EDB’s website in due course.
Admission Criteria
1. Interview performance.
2. The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying in the kindergarten will be given a priority consideration.
3. The applicant from families in need will be given priority consideration when applying for whole day (The number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place).
Interview Arrangements
1. The kindergarten will arrange interview for all applicants.
2. Interviews will be conducted on early Saturdays in November 2023 and notification will be sent by email.
3. Group and/or individual interviews will be arranged.
4. Parents should accompany their child for the interview.
5. Please bring along the documents listed below on the interview day:
1. Original copy of birth certificate
2. 3 reply envelopes with the correspondence address and $2.0 postage stamp on each (only available for the applicants with no email address provided)
3. Original copy of the Bank Slip(if the application fee is paid via online admission system or by ATM/by counter)
6. Arrangement for admission application of Non-Chinese Speaking(NCS) Children:
When interviewing NCS children, interpretation and/or translation service for applicants will be provided where necessary, or parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend to facilitate communication. Please contact us by (2656 2016 or

Announcement of Admission Results
We will inform parents of the K1 admission results before 15th December 2023 by email or by post (for applicants who cannot provide their email address).
Registration Arrangements
1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child in 4th - 6th January 2023 (“Centralized Registration Dates”) by submitting the original copy of the “2024/25 RC” to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.
2. Applicants on the waiting list: The kindergarten will inform by post. Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original copy of the “2024/25 RC” to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “2024/25 RC” during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit their application for the Registration Certificate to EDB within the specified period.
4. The registration fee for 2024/25 K1 is HK$970(half-day) / HK$1,570(whole-day). If parents decide to change schools after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “2024/25 RC” but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “2024/25 RC”, the kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.
