                                               About Us
Our School is the 6th kindergarten of PLK which was officially established in 1985. There are a total of 24 schools under PLK.
˙ We have 29 staff members, including the Principal, 1 vice-principal, 2 directors, 12 teachers, 1 teaching assistant, 1 Mandarin teacher, 1 foreign teacher, 2 school officers, 2 school workers, 1 school driver, 2 part-time school drivers and 2 part-time nannies. The turn-over rate of the School is low, and all teachers are qualified to teach and care for the children.
˙ Our Kindergarten currently obtains 15 classes in the morning and afternoon with 3 levels: K1, K2, and K3. To illustrate, 5 classes for K3; 5 classes for K2; and 5 classes for K1. The age range among our students is 2 years 8 months year-old to 6 year-old. We have 316 students in total.
˙ School Time during the morning session: 9:00a.m.~ 12:00p.m.;School Time during the afternoon session: 1:00p.m.~ 4:00p.m.
                                                              Curriculum Characteristics
The curriculum of our Kindergarten is “children-oriented”. Teaching methods such as theme-based teaching, activity-based teaching, and design-related activities, etc. are widely applied here. The aim is to guide our students to learn from games by stimulating their curiosity and following their love of games; Our Kindergarten also focuses on the linguistic development, environmental arrangement, and moral training for our children. We arrange groups, visits, plays, self-selection, designs, explorations, creations, and etc. to enable both balanced development and active learning in arts, emotion and community, physical health, multiculturalism, science and other learning areas of our children.
PLK Kindergarten has also added an education platform of the Education Press. Not only in the campus, we have also set up an educational platform for children to learn at home, so that parents can have a better understanding of their children's learning; In addition, our Kindergarten is thoroughly concerned and encouraging on our student’s physical and psychological development, as well as the communication between the school and parents. Therefore, School Social Worker Service has been started in the Kindergarten since 2007.
