6P Elements
Our kindergarten permeate the 6P(Play, Positive Thinking, Proactiveness, Problem Solving, Pleasure and Potential) teaching elements in our courses and activities. We respect the developmental characteristics and needs of children, let them have a happy, safe and caring kindergarten life.
English Teaching
Children develop skills to speak, listen and read in English by our professional Native English teachers through phonics games, oral and rhymes under an authentic context.
Mandarin Teaching
We employ certified (CE) Mandarin tutors to create a studious learning environment to help students improve listening and speaking skills.
Diverse Extracurricular Activities
Beyond the intellectual growth of our students, we highly focus on the development of health and emotional intelligence. Through exploring their interest, we hope to help our student accumulate diverse living experiences. Our school offers a range of extracurricular activities including, Singing Play class, Dance Class, Musical Instrument Classes, Art and Creativity Class, Flag Ceremony Team and Grasshopper Scout.
Language Learning
We focus on our student's language development, from their mother-tongue to foreign languages. We hope to help them develop interest and a fundamental level of understanding in linguistics. We provide pronunciation class for all languages under our "Story telling methodology" and through effective use of interesting reading material. We hope to promote sharing and discussion, and let our students learn through listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Children Development Monitoring
We combine a new teaching concept, to provide a comprehensive learning development to motivate children's independence and initiative, as well as meaningful learning outcomes for all students. We aim to continuously monitor children's learning process in order to distinguish the progress of each student. Allowing us to pinpoint and improve on individual weaknesses, and to provide quality learning goals and habits.
Mathematics Teaching
Our mathematics course provides a wide range of mathematics based games and activities, such as Montessori Activity Day, Children's stories on Mathematics, Environmental Awareness Mathematics Day and other activities to encourage mathematics learning. The idea is to provide an intuitive and simple approach to mathematics teaching, to promote spatial awareness and number theory and in turn properly enhance the student's concept of mathematics. We achieve this through daily drills and hand's on experience to lay a solid foundation for mathematics learning in the future. We specially offer Jelic Learning Box to provide smart multi-modal learning for our students. Our methods allow student to learn independently, to take initiative, build decision making skills, self-discipline, algorithms, order, increase concentration, logic, layered thinking, and to help them think outside of the box.
Art and Creativity Teaching
To develop in line with the Kuk's 6 development pillars; our school focuses on arts and creativity through games and music. Our school aims to create a learning environment through music by combining different elements of creativity and art. We offer a “Comprehensive Art Class” to expand the student’s understanding by a visual approach to teaching. The goal is to lead children and teach different styles and techniques of art crafting, art appreciation and more.
E-learning Project
To improve student learning interest and initiative, our school has extensive provide of computer visual and audio equipment. Through the use of state-of-the-art information technology, multi-mode sensors and other tech devices, we hope to improve student and teacher interaction and to provide a dynamic and interesting learning environment.
Our school also has a dedicated photography team. Their goal is to create and select through photography the right teaching materials to compliment school lessons. Through images and photos, we hope to attract the student's attention, to trigger learning and to introduce basic information on hygiene, conservation, code of conduct and other knowledge.
General Studies and Environmental Initiatives
We hope to provide a engaging and meaningful learning environment for our students. Through games and related activities, we include general studies to help students develop, character, tact, knowledge of hygiene, environmental awareness and more. In turn, promote independent learning, proper social interactions and to help students learn responsibility.
Our school is actively moving in line with Government initiatives, for example, green campus projects, toys and food giveaways, elimination of plastic bags, rubbish sorting, "a flower each" project, and other environmental awareness campaigns. Along with low carbon living, Earth Hour, Say-No to Air Condition, oral hygiene events, as well as other charitable works for natural disasters. We hope to teach our students the mode of positive social duties as a citizen. During The 2010-2011 and 2015-2016 school years, our school was the recipient of the Environmental conservation fund for school campuses. In addition to direct reasons, our school's learning spaces reflect our environmentally aware philosophy. Our school mission is to become a leading "green" campus, and we were proud to achieve this in 2017, when we were awarded the "15th Hong Kong Green Campus Award – Best Performance" for our efforts in creating an better environmentally aware school campus
